This series, "Urban Ethos" is inspired by a move I made from a rural bungalow at the foot of Black Mountain in Cave Creek, Arizona to an urban loft in the heart of the Scottsdale Quarter in Scottsdale, Arizona. I wasn't sure how the shift would affect my art, but flickers of inspiration abounded. It was the whir of a red helicopter's blade casting long shadows that landed on a rooftop across the street that set the series in motion.
