People don't believe me...

When I'm in my studio I'm very physical when I paint. I use anything and everything I can find to make unique and organic marks similar in nature. A dear friend of mine said, "You'd use an old shoe if it was close by!" That's because she's seen me in motion in front of a canvas, especially the large ones. I brought this large branch back from the Mogollon Rim near Payson Arizona. I loved all of the twigs and sticks as part of the long branch. It made fabulous marks on this painting "Wet Sand." I caught a little bit of my process on video using the branch.
